Harbor Shores Newsletter
Stay informed with the latest announcements, events, and updates from the Village of Winthrop Harbor.
A Winthrop Harbor tradition, now online
For several decades, Harbor Shores has arrived in Winthrop Harbor mailboxes in print. Generations of residents have learned about Village news, meetings, projects, and events from its pages. It has been a steady and trusted part of life here, and it is not going anywhere.
What has changed is how people read. So Harbor Shores now has a digital home as well. The same newsletter, the same reliable information, in a format you can open from a phone, a tablet, or a computer, wherever you happen to be.
Sharing timely and accurate information with residents and businesses is one of the Village's priority services. Before anyone can take part in their community, attend a meeting, plan around a road closure, apply for a permit, or simply know what is coming next, they need to know what is going on. Providing that information clearly and on time is a basic duty of local government, and it is one we take seriously.
On this page you will find news from around Winthrop Harbor, updates from Village departments, notices affecting your property or your business, upcoming meetings and events, construction and utility work, program registrations, and the practical details that make everyday life easier.
This page exists for everyone. Not every resident uses social media, and no one should have to open an app, create an account, or scroll past an algorithm to learn what their own government is doing. Everything here is public, posted in full, and available to anyone with an internet connection. The print edition continues for those who prefer it, and copies are always available at Village Hall.
Good communication is customer service. Village staff work for the residents and businesses of Winthrop Harbor, and we would rather answer your question once than have you go without an answer at all. If something here is unclear, if you cannot find what you are looking for, or if there is information you would like to see in a future edition, please contact Village Hall. Your questions tell us where we can do better.
