Police Department News and Updates

Welcome to the Winthrop Harbor Police Department

On behalf of the men and women of the Winthrop Harbor Police Department, welcome. We are proud to serve a lakefront community known for its neighborhoods, its harbor, and the people who make this village a place families are glad to call home.

Our mission rests on one belief: public safety is strongest when it is built together. We work in partnership with residents, local businesses, schools, faith communities, and civic organizations, because the best solutions come from listening to the people we serve and working alongside them. Whether we are responding to a call, walking through a community event, or meeting with a neighborhood group, our goal is the same: to earn and keep your trust.

We hold ourselves to the highest standards of professionalism, integrity, and accountability. Every member of our department is committed to treating each person with dignity and respect, providing fair and equitable service, and placing public service above self. Ongoing training and a focus on continuous improvement help us meet those standards every day.

We encourage you to get to know us. Stop by the station, introduce yourself at a village event, or reach out with a question, concern, or idea. Your voice helps shape how we serve.

Thank you for your partnership and your support. Together, we will keep Winthrop Harbor a safe, welcoming, and connected community.
